Oregon DHS child welfare director resigns
SALEM, Ore. —
The child welfare director for the Oregon Department of Human Services submitted her resignation this week.
Lena Alhusseini submitted the resignation to DHS Director Clyde Saiki, who has named deputy director Laurie Price as the interim director of child welfare. A search will begin for a permanent child welfare director.
Alhusseini will stay with the agency until September to work on a diversity initiative in the DHS Office of Human Resources.
