OSP say man offered $360 bribe to tear up what turned out to be $260 ticket

TILLAMOOK COUNTY, Ore. - Oregon State Police arrested a 20-year-old man they said offered a bribe to get out of a traffic ticket on Friday.

Police said a trooper caught Milwaukie's Austen Corno passing illegally on Highway 101 in Tillamook County.

After the trooper wrote the ticket and returned to Corno's car, Corno flashed a wad of cash and offered the trooper $360 to tear the ticket up, police said.

The ticket for passing in a no passing zone was for $260.

Corno was arrested and charged with bribe giving, a Class B felony.
