Overturned semi truck cleared after crash on Hwy 217 on-ramp

PORTLAND, Ore. - A semi truck overturned on a highway on-ramp early Monday morning.

It happened on the ramp to southbound Highway 217 from eastbound Highway 26, according to Det. Sgt. James Shumway with Beaverton police.

No one was hurt. There was a small diesel fuel spill, but it was contained, Shumway said.

The crash happened just after 1 a.m., according to Don Hamilton with the Oregon Department of Transportation. Crews moved the truck off the ramp just after 6:30 a.m. and planned to reopen the ramp by 7 a.m.

The truck is owned by Reser's Fine Foods, police said.

It's unclear what caused the crash.
