Pedestrian struck by driver on SE Belmont dies from injuries
PORTLAND, Ore. —
Portland Police say a 65-year-old man who was struck by a driver last week at SE 30th Avenue and Belmont Street has passed away from his injuries.
Wes W. Hatton was crossing Belmont on the east side of 30th Avenue in a marked crosswalk last Friday when he was struck by a driver turning onto Belmont.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police. Hatton was initially hospitalized with serious injuries, and died last Saturday, March 10 at a hospital.
This is the sixth traffic-related death in Portland this year.
