Pedestrians injured when semi cuts corner in NE Portland
PORTLAND, Ore. - Two women were taken to the hospital Thursday morning after a semi-truck made a sharp turn onto the curb at a Northeast Portland intersection, police said.
Portland Police officers at the scene said they weren't sure if the pedestrians were struck by the semi, or if they were hurt getting out of the way of the truck. No word on the extent of their injuries.
The truck was turning onto Northeast 102nd from Glisan Street just before 8:30 a.m. when it cut the corner.
The semi hit one of the walk signals at the traffic light.
