Police arrest man dubbed 'TriMet barber'
PORTLAND, Ore. —
Police arrested the man dubbed the “TriMet Barber” Wednesday night.
Jared Weston Walter, 30, was wanted for cutting women’s hair on a TriMet bus.
Police said several 911 callers reported seeing him near Southeast 82nd Avenue and Holgate Boulevard.
Police arrested him just before 8 p.m. in the 4300 block of Southeast 89th Avenue after several members of the community chased him.
Police took Walter to the Multnomah County Jail. He faces charges of harassment and interfering with public transportation.
Walter has been convicted of several similar crimes in the past.
