Police find missing girl and mom in Kelso

KELSO, Wash. - Police have found a woman they said assaulted her boyfriend by hitting him with a van, then drove away with their daughter inside.

Kimberly Ann Gibson and her daughter, 4-year-old Stormy A.J. Kennedy, were found after somebody called 911 to say they'd seen them near a shelter in Kelso.

Stormy was reunited with her father, while Gibson was arrested on a second-degree assault warrant. Neither was injured.

Clark County Sheriff's deputies said Gibson hit her boyfriend with a van on July 19 and drove away with Stormy. Her boyfriend is Stormy's father.

The van had been found empty in a parking lot in Longview.
