Body of missing Woodburn man found in Willamette River near Newberg
UPDATE: Woodburn police said Pedro Munoz Morales's body was found in the Willamette River near Newberg on Friday, Nov. 3. They said a boater spotted his body in the water and called police.
WOODBURN, Ore. – Woodburn police say missing man Pedro “Pete” Munoz Morales was at the Market Street Fred Meyer in Salem on Oct. 13. Family members said they haven’t seen him since Oct. 12.
Surveillance footage from the Market Street Fred Meyer in Salem shows Munoz Morales visited the store around 7 p.m. He made a small grocery purchase before leaving.
In the video footage, he was wearing black pants, a red long-sleeve shirt with a half-zippered front and a gray shirt underneath. He was also wearing light-colored shoes and a dark-colored beanie.
Police say they also discovered Munoz Morales’ red Chevy Sonic hatchback parked at the Salem Rite Aid on 435 Liberty Street Northeast.
The vehicle had been parked in the lot since Oct. 16 at 10 a.m.
The vehicle was towed away on Oct. 21.
