Police: Man stole $25K in gasoline using stolen credit card

PORTLAND, Ore. - Police on Thursday arrested a man accused of stealing more than $25,000 in gasoline from gas stations around the Portland area.

Police identified Christopher Scott Beard, 39, using surveillance video from one of the gas stations.

Beard filled a 300-gallon tank with gasoline in the back of his truck using a stolen credit card, according to police.

Beard faces 12 counts of credit card fraud and 12 counts of theft in the first degree.
