Police respond to pipe-bomb scare at OHSU, but device isn't explosive
PORTLAND, Ore. - Police responded to a bomb scare at OHSU on Sunday morning, but it turned out there was no explosive device.
Police were called in at 10:45 a.m. on a call that somebody had a pipe-bomb.
They contained the area and brought in the bomb squad, which determined the device wasn't explosive.
There is no risk to the public.
Police said they detained the person who had been thought to have the device and are investigating.
All access to OHSU was open again shorty after noon.
