PORTLAND, Ore. – Police officers are blocking the intersection at Southeast 82nd Avenue and Southeast Foster Road Tuesday morning after they say a suspect crashed a stolen vehicle into a power pole and fled the scene.

Police responded to the crash at 4:09 a.m.

Investigators say the impact of the crash “sheared off” the pole. Southeast 82nd Avenue is closed from Southeast Foster Road to Southeast Reedway Street because wires are down.

Officers are searching for a thin white man with facial tattoos who was driving the stolen vehicle.

Officials say no one was injured.

Drivers should avoid the area and find alternate routes.
