Police: Suspect arrested in SE Portland stabbing
PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland police arrested a man who they said stabbed another man after a fight at a Fred Meyer bottle return area Thursday night.
Officers responded to the 5100 block of Southeast 76th Avenue and found the victim, 49-year-old Sergey Evan Feodoroff, with several stab wounds to his chest.
Feodoroff's injuries are not life-threatening, police said.
The suspect, 51-year-old Nantharath Thilavanh, was taken into custody at a nearby apartment. He faces one count of assault in the 2nd degree.
Police say the suspect and victim know each other. The two men got into a fight at a Fred Meyer bottle return area near Southeast 82nd Avenue and Foster Road. It's not clear when the stabbing occurred.
Investigators said the two men were arguing over some money and their fight led to the stabbing.
