Police: Two injured in crash on Hwy 213

OREGON CITY, Ore. - Two women were injured, one seriously, in a crash on Highway 213 Tuesday morning, state police said.

It happened about three miles south of Oregon City near South Greentree Drive just before noon.

State police said Sharon Zimmerman, 73, of Woodburn, was driving an SUV towing a trailer when the SUV crossed the center line and crashed head-on into pickup truck driven by 19-year-old Briana Lee of Oregon City.

Zimmerman was seriously injured and taken by LifeFlight helicopter to a Portland hospital.

Lee's injuries were not life-threatening, police said.

Both women were wearing seat belts.

It's unclear what caused Zimmerman's SUV to cross the center line.
