Polk County deputies looking for fugitive wanted in connection to drug trafficking
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says it is looking for a woman who it considers armed and dangerous.
In March, deputies say they started investigating a case involving heroin trafficking. The investigation continued for more than a month.
They say they starting looking for Samantha Gaines and Levi McCleskey, as well as others. Salem police arrested McCleskey April 21.
Deputies say they found McCleskey with 22.5 grams of heroin, danabol steroids and a lot of cash and gold. They say they found more contraband at McCleskey’s home and Gaines’ storage unit.
Gaines is still on the run and may be armed with either a .45-caliber or 9 mm pistol, deputies say.
Deputies say she has felony warrants for her arrest.
The sheriff’s office asks anyone who has information about Gaines’ whereabouts to contact it, either by submitting an anonymous tip or by calling its non-emergency line at 503-623-9251.
