Portland man accused of plotting to kill business associate
PORTLAND, Ore. -- A Southeast Portland man has been arrested on suspicion of hatching a plot to kill his business partner of a convenience store.
Portland police officers arrested Mohdsidek Habibullah, 49, and booked him in the Multnomah County Jail on charges of solicitation to commit aggravated murder, conspiracy to commit murder and attempted murder.
Homicide detectives began investigating Habibullah on Tuesday after receiving a tip about the alleged murder plot.
The intended victim, believed to be Habibullah's business associate of Stop and Go convenience store on Southeast 122nd Avenue, was not hurt, police said.
Habibullah will be arraigned on the charges on Thursday afternoon.
