Portland State University campus goes smoke-free

PPORTLAND, Ore. - The PSU Vikings campus is going vape and cigarette-free this year, as Portland State officials institute a smoking ban on school grounds.

Students and faculty will be welcomed back for the 2015-16 school year with new signs advising about the campus going smoke and tobacco free.

Portland State university is joining the nearly 20 other Oregon schools in banning smoking, vaping and tobacco use everywhere on campus.

Tobacco users will not have designated zones to smoke under the new policy.
