Recovery crews looking for 18-year-old swimmer near Sellwood Bridge
PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Fire & Rescue transitioned from a rescue operation to a recovery Friday evening after an 18-year-old man swimming near the Sellwood Bridge went under
PF&R was called to Sellwood Park at around 5:30 p.m. Witnesses said the man wasn't a strong swimmer and was having trouble getting back to the shore.
The man was identified as Mario Antonio Martinez Villalta of Portland.
Two jet-skis and a boat with rescuers on board went looking for him, with no luck.
The man wasn't wearing a life jacket.
