Service will be disrupted on parts of some MAX lines this week

PORTLAND, Ore. - Getting around Portland is going to get a little trickier this week.

TriMet is performing track and witch improvements starting Monday that will disrupt service to the Blue, Green and Red MAX lines.

The work is being done at NE 11th and Holladay.

Westbound trains will not run between the Lloyd Center/NE 11th Ave. and Rose Quarter platforms. Eastbound trains won't run between the Oregon Convention Center and the Lloyd Center/NE 11th Ave. platforms.

Shuttle buses will serve those sections.

Green line trains will also not run downtown.

TriMet warns that riders should budget an extra 15-30 minutes to their trips, and that people with bikes should consider cycling around the disrupted areas because there won't be much room for bikes on the shuttle buses.

The work is scheduled to run through Friday.

TriMet also issued a press release saying trains will be running slower Monday due to the hot weather.
