Sheriff's office: 14-year-old who left threatening notes at school cooperating with police
HARRISBURG, Ore. —
Linn County Sheriff's deputies say a 14-year-old boy left two threatening notes at Harrisburg Middle School Monday.
The first note, which referenced a bomb threat, was found at the school around 9:30 a.m. Harrisburg Middle School students, along with those at a nearby elementary school, were evacuated.
A second note was found Tuesday, that was connected to Monday's incident. Deputies responded, and found no credible threat to the school. Both notes were deemed a hoax.
Law enforcement discovered a 14-year-old student at the middle school made the threats. He's cooperating with police, and his case is being forwarded to the Linn County Juvenile Department for possible charges, like disorderly conduct.
