PORTLAND, Ore. – Officers are investigating a string of overnight break-ins reported along Alberta Street in Northeast Portland.

Our reporters found five different businesses Thursday morning that were cleaning up damage from the break-ins.

The owner of Vita Café near the intersection of NE 30th Avenue and Alberta Street received a call from the alarm company at around 4:45 a.m.

Nearby restaurants The Big Egg and Urdaneta also reported break-ins.

The other two burglaries took place at Random Order Pie Bar and Zilla Sake - both located near 18th and Alberta.

Police are on the scene, collecting evidence and talking with shop owners.

If you have any helpful information on a possible suspect, call police.
