Second suspect wanted in North Plains killing arrested in Wilsonville
PORTLAND, Ore. —
Authorities arrested a second suspect Wednesday night wanted in a North Plains killing in September.
Chad Brandon Pitcher, 38, was arrested in Wilsonville just before 6:30 p.m., according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office says Pitcher was involved in the shooting and killing of Michael Zven Arch at a house off of Dairy Creek Road near North Plains in mid-September.
Deputies in late September arrested another suspect, 40-year-old Christopher Jay Stephens of Newberg, in connection to the killing.
On Wednesday night, deputies said Pitcher tried to escape from authorities but he was captured by the U.S. Marshals Service.
Pitcher faces a murder charge as well as other charges.
He will be held in the Washington County Jail without bail, the sheriff's office said.
