Thief preys on unlocked cars in Washougal neighborhood

Police said it happened in the 1200-1400 blocks of K Street and the 900 block of G Street.

It appeared most of the cars were unlocked. Police said surveillance video showed the thief checking door handles, getting in the cars and rummaging around to see what he could take.

One person had a Samsung tablet stolen.

Police said the suspect is a white man in his late teens or early 20s who was carrying a dark backpack and wearing a lighter-colored baseball cap.
