Tip leads to arrest in Southeast Portland hit-and-run
PORTLAND, Ore. - Police said they have made an arrest in connection to a hit-and-run in Southeast Portland that left two women in their 70s injured.
Police said a tip led them to 54-year-old Nonie Ann Enyeart's silver Dodge Caravan at Southeast Avenue and Cora Street.
Enyeart was arrested and booked into the Multnomah County Jail. Enyeart faces two counts of failure to perform the duties of a driver and reckless driving.
The two women - one 71 years old, and the other 76 years old - were hit at about 1:40 p.m. near Southeast 80th Avenue and Powell Boulevard on Wednesday. They were taken to the hospital and are expected to recover from their injuries.
Enyeart's arraignment is scheduled for Monday, March 17.
