Two rollover crashes lead to 2 DUII arrests in Washington County

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ore. - Washington County sheriff's deputies arrested two men after two separate rollover crashes Friday evening.

Deputies responded to a report of a crash near 32380 N.W. Hornecker Road, near Cornelius, just after 4 p.m.

The driver, 26-year-old Wert Russert of Hillsboro, lost control of his pickup truck. Deputies said the truck rolled at least once and came to rest on its wheels.

Firefighters had to cut off the top of the crashed pickup truck to remove a 17-year-old boy who was suffering from an arm injury.

Deputies determined Russert was intoxicated and arrested him on charges of DUII and assault in the fourth degree.

Two hours later, deputies responded to another rollover crash in Laurelwood. The driver, 25-year-old Jason Eaton of Beaverton, lost control of his pickup and it rolled several times.

Eaton was not hurt, nor was his 24-year-old passenger, deputies said.

Deputies determined Eaton was intoxicated and they arrested him on a DUII charge.
