Vancouver Police say no crime committed in possible hostage situation
VANCOUVER, Wash. —
Vancouver Police responded to a disturbance at an apartment complex at 3205 East 33rd Street around 9 AM Saturday.
Police say a female resident called 911 after and said a man, who had been staying at the apartment, threatened three occupants with a knife.
The woman who called 911 was able to leave the apartment, but police believed two other people were still inside with the suspect.
Around 1:15 PM, police say a woman exited the apartment and gave consent for officers to go inside.
Police say officers did not find anyone inside and there was no evidence that the initially reported assault had occurred.
Residents who were temporarily evacuated are now allowed back into their apartments.
At this time, there's no evidence that a crime was committed.
