PORTLAND, Ore. —
Police detained a woman whose son was shot and wounded Wednesday night.
Police were called just before 8:30 p.m. to the 10500 block of Northeast Davis Street. A 911 caller said someone had been shot in a yard. Another person called and said they were involved in the shooting but was uninjured.
In the area of the shooting, police said a 53-year-old woman told them she was involved in a disturbance with her 26-year-old son.
Officers said they learned the woman’s son left the area after the shooting.
