Woman shoots husband at Milwaukie motel, deputies say

MILWAUKIE, Ore. - A woman shot her husband at a motel in Milwaukie late Thursday night, sheriff's deputies said.

A man walked to the front desk of the King's Row Inn and told an employee he'd been shot by his wife while staying at the motel, according to Sgt. Nathan Thompson with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office. The manager called 911.

The man's injuries were not life-threatening. Medics took him to a hospital.

Deputies spoke with the woman on the phone when they arrived and she came out of her room peacefully, Thompson said.

No arrests have been made at this time, Thompson said. Detectives are investigating the shooting.

The names of the husband and wife were not released.
