You may soon be able to climb the Fremont Bridge
Get ready for your Instagram grid to get a whole lot cooler: You may soon be able to climb Portland's 381-foot tall Fremont Bridge.
The Portland Bridge Climb wants to host guided walks to the top of the bridge over a 2-3 hour journey, in what is, as far as we know, the first adventure of its kind in the United States.
The founders of the climb are a group of brothers from Portland, who were inspired by the Sydney Bridge Climb, which they visited in 2016.
Their goal? To turn the Fremont Bridge into a premier tourist attraction.
The climb isn't available yet. The company still needs to complete bridge engineering drawings, receive ODOT and FHWA approval, complete funding and begin construction.
