ISS astronauts capture solar eclipse's shadow from space

"There's a little black spot on the Earth today..."

While millions were treated to the spectacular sight of the moon perfectly covering the sun Monday morning, six on board the International Space Station got a view like no other.

From their perch 250 miles above the planet, they could see the moon's shadow cast on the United States below.

NASA says the space station crossed the path of the eclipse three times!
