Police: Victim tracks down stolen goods, leads cops to suspects
MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) - Police say a Medford man who searched local pawn shops to find his stolen wedding rings and landscaping equipment not only found his missing items, he helped investigators find the alleged thieves.
The Mail Tribune reports that police used information from the pawn shops to arrest 20-year-old Ashley Delong, 19-year-old Jaimey Faber and 19-year-old Tyler Atler.
Because victims can immediately recognize their stolen property, Medford police Lt. Mike Budreau says the man's vigilance is something others in that situation should emulate. That's especially true when hen the missing item is something hard to describe - like jewelry.
