KATU hosts panel with Oregon legislative leaders

KATU hosted an online-only town hall Thursday evening with several leaders of the Oregon Legislature.

The "Your Voice, Your Vote" special began at 7:45 p.m. Thursday, March 2 and wa streamed on and KATU's Facebook page.

You can also watch an abbreviated version of the event during Sunday's edition of Your Voice, Your Vote at 9 a.m. But tune in at 8:30 a.m. for a half hour with Oregon's lone Republican congressman, Greg Walden. He's involved with the Republican plans to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.

For the Oregon legislative panel, guests included Sen. Majority Leader Ginny Burdick, Sen. Republican Leader Ted Ferrioli, House Democrats leader Barbara Smith Warner and House Republican leader Mike McLane.

Lawmakers discussed the state's $1.7 billion budget shortfall, education funding, PERS, transportation and housing.
