It’s crunch time with the Grand Floral Parade just two days away.

A lot of hard work is being done on 14 of the 16 floats in the SCI facility in Southeast Portland.

The number of volunteers working on the floats is up for the first time in 10 years, making the Grand Floral Parade a brilliant centerpiece of the Rose Festival.

Additionally, float judging happens Friday evening and the parade begins at 10 a.m. Saturday.

It's worth noting the parade route has changed this year. It starts near the Memorial Coliseum, down Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, across the Burnside Bridge and into downtown Portland, ending at Lincoln High School.
