Portland FBI office addresses possibility of terror threats in Oregon
In the wake of the terror attack in New York City on Halloween, many Oregonians may ask how safe are our bike paths and sidewalks.
In this week’s edition of “Your Voice, Your Vote” KATU’s Steve Dunn talks with Renn Cannon, the Special Agent in Charge at the Portland FBI office.
He said they assess hundreds of threats every year, but many of them turn out to be nothing.
“The men and women of the [Joint Terrorism Task Force] are working very hard to assess threats and prevent and disrupt any acts of violence that might occur here,” said Cannon.
