Pac-12 suspends Stevenson for hit
WALNUT CREEK, Calif.-- The Pac-12 Conference has suspended Oregon State senior running back Jovan Stevenson for the first half of Oregon State's next game for his late hit on a defenseless opponent during Oregon State's game with Hawai'i on Saturday, September 7, Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott announced today.
Hawaii's Trayvon Henderson, a freshman defensive back from Sacramento, CA, suffered a concussion as a result of the hit and is now listed as 'week to week' by the Warriors training staff.
Stevenson will miss the first half of Oregon State's next scheduled contest, which will be this Saturday, September 14 at Utah.
This disciplinary action is result of the weekly review conducted by the Pac-12 office of all unsportsmanlike conduct and player safety fouls.
