Oregon Agriculture: Cider

National Agriculture Week is a week to recognize and celebrate the abundance provided by agriculture. Every year, producers, agricultural associations, corporations, universities, government agencies and countless others across America join together to recognize the contributions of agriculture. The Oregon craft beverage industry is setting the standard for quality and innovation in the industry. We are lucky to be a part of this healthy and growing industry as our craftsman continues to thrive throughout the world. Cider is a growing sector of the craft industry, Emily Ritchie, Executive Director, Northwest Cider Association joined us to tell us more about this emerging industry in Oregon and the PNW.

Come to Cider Rite of Spring—all local! 31 cidermakers from the NW will be there pouring samples of their best products. You can taste and even take bottles home from there. Also get ready for OR Cider Week in June, starting on the 15th, where there’ll be a bonanza of events all over the state.
