Rhonda Shelby shared her brother Rick's recipe for Mac N' Cheese!
- 1 (16 ounce) package elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 pint container small curd cottage cheese
- 1 pint container sour cream
- 1 egg beaten
- 1/8-1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil, add pasta, and cook until done; drain.
- In 9x13 inch baking dish, stir together macaroni, shredded Cheddar cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream, beaten egg along with salt and pepper, to taste. Sprinkle cayenne pepper over the top of macaroni mixture.
- Bake 40-45 minutes.
