They're now on the south side of the street, just off the trail. The North Syracuse spot is set to become a new Safe Rest Village site.

In early February, the goats fell victim to protests of homeless camp sweeps.

Police say someone cut the fence, releasing the goats. The perpetrators left a note behind, declaring it a protest.

At the time, a representative of the goats said the city was responsible for the sweeps and was also making them move.

The City of Portland says the Safe Rest Village will now move into phase two of construction which involves the installation of the sleeping units.
