Alex Trebek thanks fans for 'kind words, prayers, and the advice' amid cancer diagnosis

PORTLAND, Ore. – Longtime Jeopardy host Alex Trebek recently has been diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. Since announcing the diagnosis, he has received an outpouring of love as he prepares to fight the disease.

On Thursday, Alex posted a video thanking his fans for the immense amount of support.

“Now obviously I won’t be able to respond to all of you individually, but I did want you to know I do read everything I receive. And I am thankful for the kind words, the prayers, and the advice you have offered,” said Trebek.

“I am extremely touched by the warmth you have expressed in your comments to me,” he continued.
