1 seriously injured in shooting at Northeast Portland boat ramp
A man was shot and seriously injured Monday night at a Northeast Portland boat ramp, police said.
Police were called to the M. James Gleason Memorial Boat Ramp at 4325 Northeast Marine Drive just before 8 p.m. They received reports of multiple gunshots.
The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
There were several witnesses, though it was not clear if they saw the shooting happen.
"At this time, a suspect has not been located," said Sgt. Chris Burley, spokesman for the Portland Police Bureau. "But based on the initial information we have, we do not believe there's a danger to the community in relation to the investigation."
Homicide detectives responded because of the victim’s condition, police said.
Police are asking anyone who has any information about the shooting to call them.
