PORTLAND, Ore. – After a cold rainy winter, it’s been a dry start to summer in the Portland metro area. The city hasn’t seen rain for 31 days – and there’s no sign of precipitation in the near future.

This week, most western Oregon and Washington days will start with temperatures in the 40s and will reach daytime highs in the 80s.

If anyone see rain anytime soon, it will be the coast.

Wednesday and Thursday a weak trough will move onshore, bringing the possibility of a drizzle to the coast Wednesday. There’s a chance the drizzle could reach the Valley and Cascades early Thursday.
