3.6-magnitude earthquake recorded off Northern California coast
ARCATA, Calif. – A 3.6-magnitude earthquake shook off the Northern California Coast Monday morning.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake occurred around 8:15 a.m. It was recorded about 74.2 miles west northwest of McKinleyville, Calif, not far from the Oregon-California border.
The USGS says the earthquake occurred at a depth of about 1.86 miles.
