Adoptable pets from tornado-torn Alabama communities arrive in Oregon
More than a hundred shelter animals impacted by the recent tornadoes in Alabama have landed at the Hillsboro Airport.
The Willamette and Oregon Humane Societies say these pet were already up for adoption in Alabama. They expect to take in about 140 pets.
By moving them, they said it frees up space for animals that were separated from their families in the natural disasters.
The pets will be up for adoption starting on Monday. For more information about offering one of these pets a forever home, visit either the Oregon Humane Society or Willamette Humane Society websites.
