Baby alpaca that survived cougar attack meets Santa while continuing to recover
SKAMANIA COUNTY, Wash. – The baby alpaca that was attacked by a cougar at a Skamania County farm in September is recovering and even had a chance to meet Santa Claus this Christmas.
The alpaca, who is now appropriately named Lucky, has turned into quite the lap pet since his injury.
His owner submitted two photographs of the farm animal visiting Old St. Nick and said, “Lucky the alpaca that survived the cougar attack in September enjoyed his visit with Santa on the farm. Lucky is getting better every day!”
Lucky’s bandages are now red and green for the holiday season.
Lucky and his mother were in their pen in September when a cougar came in and snatched Lucky.
Lucky’s mother chased the cougar down and got it to drop her baby. The incident was recorded on surveillance video.
