UPDATE from Multnomah Co. Sheriff: The deceased was identified as a 17-year-old male from Troutdale.

The Medical Examiner ruled his death a suicide by gunshot. There was not evidence of foul play.
TROUTDALE, Ore. (AP) Multnomah County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a body was found at the base of Broughton Bluff, a popular rock climbing spot near the Sandy River.Investigators say a rock climber called 911 on Saturday at about 10 a.m. after spotting a body as he was going up the trail from Lewis and Clark State Park in Troutdale, a Portland suburb. The body lay at the base of Broughton Bluff. The rock climber also reported seeing a gun near the body. Deputies located the body of a deceased adult male and recovered the gun.
