Break-in, vandalism closes post office in Bridal Veil, Ore.
BRIDAL VEIL, Ore. – Mail service has been postponed for the near future from the post office at Bridal Veil, Oregon after a break-in on Christmas Eve.
Multnomah County deputies were called out on December 24 to investigate, however, they say they haven't found any suspects.
The office is one of the oldest in the state and is a famous destination for brides-to-be, as letters (or wedding invitations) sent out of the office will have the “Bridal Veil” postmark.
A sign up on the door says all mail has been transferred to the Corbett Post Office.
A U.S. Postal Inspector tells KATU News they couldn't confirm when the office might reopen.
