PORTLAND, Ore. – The Bridge to Brews run combines two of Portland’s favorite things into a fun run.

Working up the motivation to run an 8K or 10K can be tough. One participant had never run in an organized run before.

But for Portlanders like him, the promise of beer is all they needed to sign up.

“I thought it would be great to have that motivation to run and then knowing there’s a good reward at the end, I think that was probably most of it,” said Michael Mazur who ran the 8K.

It might have seemed like a dreary day to non-runners, but participants said it was great for running. They said it felt like a moderate temperature throughout the run and wasn’t raining hard enough to soak through their shoes.
