Car crashes through window of NE Portland gym: 'In shock, but not really surprised'
PORTLAND, Ore. – A car crashed into a gym in Northeast Portland Sunday morning, shattering a glass window and damaging one wall.
The crash happened in the early morning hours at NE Lloyd Boulevard at Grand Avenue.
Employees of The Playground Gym roped off the area around the broken glass to keep kids safe, then went about their day.
The busted out window caught them off guard, but gymnastics coach Devin Tallew said it isn’t much of a surprise.
"In shock, but not really surprised, because there's so many car accidents that happen at this intersection. Just from the six, seven months I've been working here, I've seen three," Tallew said.
The Dutch Bros. location across the street has had at least two crashes.
It's not clear whether there are any suspects for this most recent crash.
