The Clackamas County District Attorney’s Office on Tuesday released more information about a deputy-involved shooting last week.

The shooting happened around 7:30 last Thursday near South Judd Road in unincorporated Clackamas County.

Deputies say they responded to a report of a domestic disturbance with a firearm. They say they were able to get family members out of the home before they tried to communicate with the armed person.

The DA’s Office says the suspect came out of the home holding a handgun, which he refused to drop when commanded to do so.
