Clark County Sheriff's Office investigates stabbing in Vancouver wooded area
VANCOUVER, Wash. – The Clark County Sheriff’s Office says three people attacked a man and his wife in Vancouver Wednesday morning and stabbed the man in the back.
According to the sheriff’s office, three suspects, possibly two men and one woman, attacked a homeless man and his wife in the woods near Northeast Highway 99 and Northeast 104th Street at around 4 a.m.
Investigators say the couple’s camp is in a forested area to the east of the highway.
The suspects stabbed the man in the upper back, deputies say, but he’s expected to survive.
Deputies don’t have detailed descriptions of the suspects, but believe they are also transient.
Investigators believe the motive for the attack is related to a theft accusation.
