Confirmed case of whooping cough at Longview's Mark Morris High School
Mark Morris High School says it has at least one student with a confirmed case of whooping cough.
Several other students are being tested.
The school says other students may have been exposed.
Pertussis is highly contagious and students may not get symptoms until a week to three weeks after exposure.
The key symptom may be coughing fits that include a “whooping” noise.
If you think your child has it, see a doctor immediately.
